Patient Assessment

This section has been developed to help with the assessment of patients referred for pulmonary rehabilitation. Please refer to the Program Evaluation section for information on assessing patients who complete a pulmonary rehabilitation program. 

Before accepting patients into a pulmonary rehabilitation program, the coordinator should ensure patients meet the recommended eligibility criteria.   Notably, even if patients are excluded from the exercise sessions of the program, they may still participate in the education sessions.
